Ryback discusses stars asking for their WWE releases on social media

Former WWE star Ryback spoke about WWE talent asking for their releases from the company through the power of social media during the latest episode of Conversations with The Big Guy.

After having a  successful run in the WWE that ended once he decided to depart from the company in 2016, Ryback now works the independent circuit in addition to hosting his own podcast.

Several WWE stars have asked for their release from the company including Sin Cara, Oney Lorcan, Luke Harper, and Mike Kanellis.

According to the former WWE star, he thinks the company gives a lack of respect to their talent who are not in the inner circle is a major problem within WWE. He thinks WWE wants their talent to feel insecure and to not speak, but rather do whatever they want their talent to do.

Ryback talked about how he knows that Cara has gone up to management and voiced his opinion and desires. He stated that Cara, as well as a lot of other stars, aren’t in a Jordan Myles situation where they want attention.

“This company has walked all over pro wrestlers for so long. The power to have more than one company to work for, the talent need to man up more than ever, but again, it’s a case by case basis.”

Ryback brought up how he waited until he had enough money that he was confident and go do what he wanted.

“I had to wait until a certain point and I had been fed up far before that, I’m sure he is at a point where he is financially comfortable enough to take a chance. A guy like Mike Kanellis who hasn’t been there that long, you are taking more of a chance doing that, but I commend doing it.”
