Sami Zayn doesn’t see himself as a Cruiserweight wrestler, says his rivalry with Kevin Owens is not over

RAW Superstar Sami Zayn recently spoke with RauteMusik about various topics. During the interview, Zayn talked about his feud with Kevin Owens. He noted that the only thing that he has learned about his rivalry with Owens is that over the last year is to never say it's over because every time he thinks it’s over it’s not. “There [have] been many, many chapters to our rivalry, but that's done for now. Do I think eventually, we've cross paths again? Yes, there's almost no question about it. I'll be in the WWE, hopefully, for years to come and so will he, so, inevitably, our paths will cross again.” He noted that they have wrestled all over the world and that their match at Battleground meant a lot to him because unlike their matches on the indy scene, that match at Battleground will be seen on the WWE Network forever.

When asked whether he views himself as a cruiserweight or a heavyweight, Zayn stated that he is focused on the Universal Title and WWE Title and being in the ring with guys like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar. “I don't think I actually classify as a cruiserweight anymore because I weigh in at 210 [lbs .], 212. I think the cruiserweight cutoff is 205, 200 [lbs .], I don't know. So I don't think I fit right there.”
