Sami Zayn on why he believes WWE should keep Raw and SmackDown rosters separate

Sami Zayn did an interview on Mike Jones’ podcast for DC 101 to hype the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view event and talk about a wide range of topics.

During the interview, he gave his thoughts on whether WWE should keep the Raw and SmackDown rosters separate via the brand split or have one big roster that is used on both shows.

According to Zayn, he likes the idea of the brand split and keeping the rosters separate.

“For me personally, I prefer the distinction,” Zayn explained. “I prefer SmackDown staying there and RAW staying there. I think it is a good way for people to get more opportunities to really shine. I’m for the interweaving of the brands maybe once or twice a year like we are doing now with Survivor Series. It makes it very interesting when you see it here and there.

“So, you see how exciting it is now at Survivor Series, once or twice a year people jump that line, jump the fence, it’s pretty exciting.”

The brand split came back last month when SmackDown was moved to FOX. With Survivor Series taking place this month, WWE went against that as they did invasion angles on the show with talent appearing on the opposite show.
