WWE is always looking to expand their influence on pop culture which includes branching out into the comic book world. WWE’s partnership with BOOM comics is going to be presenting a rather exciting issue when WWE #13 hits the shelves in January.
Samoa Joe is co-writing the story of how he debuted on Raw. It will be totally kayfabe, but still probably a very entertaining story.
The Samoan Submission Machine spoke about this opportunity in a released statement.
“As a lifelong comic book fan, it’s a thrill to partner with BOOM! Studios on the official WWE comic book series and tell the true story behind my journey to WWE. Ever wonder how Triple H really convinced me to make the jump? Now you’ll get the real story, from me and my incredible co-writer Michael Kingston.”
AJ Styles will get a chance at his own comic book in January as well when he co-writes an upcoming Royal Rumble Special Edition book.
With all of these comics coming out it might be a good idea to get on board. Not only are they getting top-notch talent to produce them, but the WWE Superstars will have a hand in the creative process as well which is always cool because nobody knows their characters better than they do.
