Samoa Joe mentioned Jeff Hardy's substance abuse issues on WWE SmackDown Live



The second hour of this week's episode of WWE SmackDown Live kicked off with a celebration of Jeff Hardy's career in WWE. Actually, if you want to get technical, Hardy was an enhancement talent starting in 1994 and he spent several years in TNA Wrestling. Most of the SmackDown roster was on the stage during his segment.

Hardy thanked his fans and his family for making this night possible. Samoa Joe interrupted his speech and cracked a remark about Hardy's history with substance abuse. Joe then said that Hardy probably wasn't coherent during most of his career and he doesn't believe in second chances because he hasn't gotten his first.

Joe said those demons will return but Hardy was undeterred and said that he still lives for the moment so a challenge was made but Joe backed down. It looks like these two will face off at the TLC pay-per-view.
