Santino Marella wants Brock Lesnar to win Royal Rumble match, pitches idea for The Undertaker at the event, more

Former WWE star Santino Marella recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of SI.com about the Royal Rumble and more. During the interview, he was asked who he thinks will win the 2017 Royal Rumble match. “I love Brock Lesnar and hope he wins,” said Marella. He noted that if it were up to him, then he would have Lesnar eliminate Undertaker in the match as he thinks it would be a good serve. He said that everyone thinks that Undertaker was going to get his revenge on Lesnar, but Lesnar would eliminate him instead. He noted that there are a lot of big names in the Rumble, which means there will be all these big names who don’t win.

When asked about setting the record for shortest Royal Rumble appearance in 2009 at 1.9 seconds when Kane eliminated him from the ring, Marella noted that he hopes that record stands for a long time and that going into the match he knew how to beat it. “I found a way to shave off half a second, but I don’t want anyone else to beat it. I knew the Warlord’s record was beatable,” said Marella. “There was no sense of urgency in the way he entered the ring.” He added that he thinks he could break his record and do it in about a second-and-a-half.
