Santos Escobar And Other WWE Main Roster Stars Wrestle At NXT Live Event

The WWE NXT brand continued its road tour on Thursday night with a live event in Knoxville, Tennessee. The show featured a mix of main roster talent and the developmental brand’s rising stars.

The night was headlined by a tag team encounter featuring former NXT Champion Ethan Page teaming up with Santos Escobar. They took on the duo of El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Shiloh Hill. Escobar’s participation in the match was notable as he was a late replacement for Grayson Waller on the tour. This scheduling change has led to speculation regarding Waller’s status, but it strongly suggests that Escobar will not be making the trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Royal Rumble this weekend, as he is fulfilling these live event obligations in the United States instead.

In the opening contest, The Street Profits went over Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been making more frequent appearances on the NXT circuit recently while off WWE TV.  You can see the results from the show below, thanks to Wrestling Bodyslam:
