Saraya Responds To Claims She Is Begging For WWE Return

Saraya has addressed recent fan criticism regarding her potential return to WWE. Speaking to The Toronto Sun, the wrestling veteran rebutted claims that she has been publicly campaigning for a job with her former employer.

During the interview, Saraya explained that she only discusses a potential WWE return when the topic is explicitly raised during media appearances or fan interactions. She noted that social media users often misinterpret her answers as begging to go back to WWE.

Saraya said, “I will say, anytime I’m in an interview, I get asked that. Everyone who comes to my table asks that. But Twitter can be so harsh—if I talk about it, they’re like, ‘You’re begging for a job.’ I’m like, ‘No, people ask me.’ I’m just answering the question.”

Saraya left AEW in March of this year following a three-year run with the promotion. During her time there, she held the AEW Women’s World Championship for 44 days. She noted that the push for her return to WWE comes primarily from the fanbase.

Saraya stated: “I’m not randomly going, ‘Bring me back.’ I’m just getting a lot of love and a good reception. People really want me to come back, and I think that’s incredible. Maybe one day. I don’t know, though.”

The former Divas Champion has not wrestled since October 2024. She admitted to The Toronto Sun that she had briefly “fallen out of love” with professional wrestling. However, she revealed that she is starting to “get the itch again” and plans to begin training for an in-ring return starting in January.
