Saraya Says She Prefers To Be The Paige Character Again

In a recent interview with Andro Mammo, former WWE and AEW star Saraya (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis) discussed the potential for revisiting her iconic “Paige” persona should she ever return to professional wrestling. Saraya, who rose to prominence in WWE under the “Paige” name, expressed a strong affinity for the character that made her a fan favorite.

“I would take Paige again. Yeah. I love that character. I love Paige. I love the music. I love that she was a badass,” Saraya stated emphatically. During her time in WWE, Paige was known for her anti-diva persona, dark aesthetic, and aggressive in-ring style, capturing the NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Divas Championship twice.

Saraya contrasted this with her character in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where she performed under her real name. “Saraya was a different character in AEW. It’s more like a chicken sh*t heel, which was fun, but I preferred Paige, for sure,” she admitted.

Looking ahead, Saraya suggested a potential hybrid approach if she were to return to wrestling under her real name. “And if I was to be Saraya, it would be a Paige version of Saraya,” she explained.
