Sasha Banks erased from WWE history

It’s pretty clear now that WWE doesn’t think that things will be worked out with Sasha Banks and an edit on one of their YouTube video reflects that.

WWE posted a “Top 10” moments video for Paige on their YouTube account. One of the moments included was from 2017 when Paige returned to Monday Night Raw. The original video showed Sasha Banks but the edited clip shows a close-up shot of Mickie James and there’s no sign of Banks.
You can see the original video with Banks underneath the edited version (scroll down).

It is worth noting that sometimes the WWE.com team will sometimes be proactive in these cases and they will make edits on their own when a wrestler leaves on bad terms, rather than waiting on management to give the directive so this could be something that was decided by the digital team. However, Vince McMahon has a history of writing off wrestlers that leave the company on unfriendly terms so this could be something he wanted to be done.

PWInsider reported this week that Banks was removed from WWE’s internal roster. She is still listed on WWE.com and apparently, it’s because she is still technically under contract.

Dave Meltzer reported in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Banks and her attorneys are still working on her release and while there have been reports that she has been released, Meltzer states that no WWE sources have indicated that to be the case.
