Sasha Banks has been back on WWE television for a few weeks after being absent in mid-August through the majority of September. “The Boss” missed two house shows in Charlotte, NC, and Columbia, SC due to “unforeseen circumstances” before SummerSlam.
She was pulled from her match with Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at this year’s SummerSlam. WWE announced she wouldn’t work the match as Bianca was in the ring. Becky Lynch made her return on late-notice to replace Banks and beat Belair for the title in 28 seconds. At Extreme Rules, Banks returned by getting involved in the match between Belair and Lynch.
While doing an interview with the New York Post, Banks was asked about why she wasn’t at SummerSlam, but Banks is staying tight-lipped about the situation.
“There’s no reason. I’m not telling you anything. You’re not Oprah. You’re not the WWE Network, you’re not getting me the views. I’m not telling you my secrets. You can read my book. You can read my documentary when I want to speak about it. Thank you very much.”
Banks will work a triple threat match against Lynch and Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at next Thursday’s WWE Crown Jewel PPV event.
