Many of you may have noticed that Sasha Banks did not tag in and she did not take bumps on Monday night when she teamed with Bayley to take on Nikki Cross and Alicia Fox in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
On Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Banks is not cleared to wrestle. At first, there was some speculation that she may have been given partial clearance for limited activity but now the word is that she is not cleared at all. The company believes that she will be cleared in time for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view so that is why they went ahead with the tag team match on Monday Night Raw. We have independently confirmed through a WWE source that says Banks is not cleared.
If we hear more on the nature of the injury then we’ll pass along an update but WWE seems to keep things extra quiet whenever Banks is out of action with an injury.
