WWE announced today that Sasha Banks will be out of action for 6-8 weeks due to a foot injury.
Banks was injured last weekend during a live event in Fayetteville, North Carolina during a match with Charlotte Flair. As Flair executed a backbreaker over her knee, Banks planted her leg on the mat in an awkward position.
The match was ended shortly after the injury took place and Banks was helped to the back by WWE officials. The injury diagnosis is better than expected because initially, it looked like it could have been much worse.
WWE stated that after seeking emergency medical attention, it was determined that nothing was broken and an MRI determined that she has a bruised calcaneus bone.
Banks will undergo physical therapy. If she returns within the 6 to 8 weeks timeframe then she should be back well before WrestleMania.
