The Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida has updated their website and Sasha Banks’ name has been added to the list of WWE Superstars scheduled to appear when Raw returns to the area on July 22nd.
As previously noted, Banks is also featured in a local ad for SummerSlam in Toronto. Click here to see the ad.
Dave Meltzer noted several weeks ago that Banks had a meeting with Vince McMahon and the feeling was that things have gotten better between both sides and she was expected back sometime in the summer.
Banks’ return to Raw would be the first time she’s been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35. The story is that Banks and Bayley were not happy about dropping the Women’s Tag Team Titles because they were under the impression that they would have a longer title reign. There were other creative issues that led to Banks taking time away.
It was revealed last week by Brie and Nikki Bella on their podcast that they were going to return after Mania to feud with The IIconics over the Women’s Tag Team Titles. That would explain the late decision to have Bayley and Banks drop the titles at WrestleMania. Click here for more on what was said by Brie and Nikki on their podcast.
For anyone wondering, Banks is currently not advertised for the July 15th episode in Long Island, NY but it would make sense to bring her back on the post-Extreme Rules show so it’s possible that she will be added to that show.
Either way, it looks like Banks’ return to WWE is imminent.
