In her first public statement since her contract with the company expired, Scarlett Bordeaux has confirmed her departure from WWE. In a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, she thanked the WWE locker room and the fans, and officially announced that she and her husband, Karrion Kross, are now accepting independent bookings.
“An Incredible Ride”
Scarlett’s message was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting on her time with the company and the relationships she built backstage. “My time in WWE has been an incredible ride, and I can truly say it’s been the best locker room I’ve ever been part of,” she wrote. “These people aren’t just coworkers, they’re family. I love you all, and I’ll deeply miss seeing you every week.”
A Message to the Fans
She also took time to directly address the fanbase that has been so vocal in their support, particularly in recent months. “To the fans, you’ve never just been a crowd. You’ve been our partners in every fight and the reason we give everything for this,” the statement continued. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
The Next Chapter Begins
Confirming her status as a free agent, Scarlett announced that she and Kross are ready for the next phase of their careers and are officially open for business. “The next chapter starts now and I’m ready to bring something unforgettable to any stage, anywhere in the world,” she wrote. Her post included a booking email, RealScarlettBordeaux@yahoo.com.
“The Smokeshow and The Killer”
In a clear signal to the wrestling world about their future presentation, Scarlett referenced the monikers she and Kross used on the independent circuit and in TNA Wrestling prior to their most recent WWE run. “If you want the Smokeshow and The Killer on your show… let’s make it happen,” she concluded.
Confirmation of Departure
This statement is the first official confirmation from either Scarlett or Kross about their WWE status. Their contracts with the company reportedly expired on August 10, which was followed by their profiles being moved to the alumni section of WWE.com and Kross’s theme music being removed from streaming platforms. Their departure came after a week of conflicting reports regarding whether a new contract had been offered by WWE.
With this announcement, “The Smokeshow” Scarlett Bordeaux and “The Killer” Karrion Kross are now two of the most prominent free agents in the professional wrestling landscape.
