Scott Dawson makes first comments after WWE release

On Friday, WWE announced that they had released The Revival from their contracts. This comes as Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder had requested their releases from the company over a year ago.

The company was trying to lock them down to long-term deals for big money. However, Dawson and Wilder turned down the multiple offers by the company.

In the wake of the news, several wrestlers - both from AEW and WWE - gave their reactions to the news.

Dawson broke his silence since the news was made when he sent out a message on his official Twitter account. He wrote the following:

“There comes a point where a reasonable man will swallow his pride and admit he’s made a terrible mistake. The truth is, I’ve never been a reasonable man. #FTR #WakeUpAndFight.”

It’s been reported that The Revival is free and clear of WWE as they don’t have a non-compete clause. Thus, they can sign with any promotion they want. The strong belief is that they will be headed to AEW.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on whether they have signed contracts with All Elite Wrestling. You can see their new ring names here.
