Scott Steiner on Ric Flair: ‘he ain’t no old friend of mine, I would kill him in the ring’

Ric Flair will be wrestling one more match as his last match will take place on Sunday, July 31 at the Nashville Fairgrounds at 6:05 p.m. ET on FITE TV following the Starrcast V convention, which runs from July 29-31.

As previously reported, Flair is expected to team up with FTR to take on Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and a mystery partner. Ricky Steamboat turned down the offer to be part of the match and Flair has denied the rumors of Hulk Hogan serving this role.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott Steiner) recently did a Highspots Wrestling Network ‘Sign-It-Live’ stream. During it, Flair’s in-ring return was brought up and Flair was labeled an ‘old friend’ of Scott’s.

“He [Ric Flair] ain’t no old friend of mine,” Scott stated. “I would kill him [in the ring]. I’d destroy him. Yeah, everybody wants to see him get beat up.”

Steiner's heat with Flair goes back to the 90s while they were in WCW when Flair was being pushed down the card and Steiner was among those being elevated. In 2000, Scott did a shoot promo knocking Flair during an episode of Nitro.
