Sean Waltman Says He Was ‘Physically Assaulted’ And Stalked In Bathroom During WrestleMania 42 Weekend

Sean Waltman has revealed he was physically assaulted and stalked in the bathroom by fans during WrestleMania 42 weekend, adding his voice to a growing number of WWE talent who have described a serious security failure at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas.

Waltman posted on social media in the aftermath of the CM Punk phone incident, expressing solidarity with Punk and detailing his own weekend experiences.

“That guy and all the rest like him can get f***ed. It was insane how these people were. I got physically assaulted and camera shoved in my face, stalked in the bathroom, and more,” Waltman wrote.

In a follow-up post, Waltman clarified that his issue is not with fans recording or taking pictures in public spaces but with those who cross the line into invading personal space. He also noted that his experience at WrestleCon, held at the Horseshoe hotel in Las Vegas, was markedly different, describing fans there as “totally respectful.”

The Horseshoe had WrestleCon infrastructure in place to manage fan interactions, while the MGM Grand, where WWE talent were staying, had only standard hotel security with no additional measures to limit fan access to common areas like lobbies and elevator banks.

Waltman’s account joins those of CM Punk, Booker T, and others who have described the same pattern of invasive fan behavior throughout the weekend. Booker T said a fan filmed him in the bathroom and called the situation the worst fan interaction he has ever experienced at a WrestleMania. Punk made headlines after knocking a fan’s phone away when the fan followed AJ Lee and Bayley into an elevator bank after the women had already tried to move away.

Waltman helped induct Dennis Rodman into the WWE Hall of Fame last Friday and also works behind the scenes with WWE’s ID program coaching independent talent.
