Second-generation wrestler is being touted as a future WWE main eventer

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve heard from people in WWE who have seen Cal Bloom’s training at the Performance Center and have said that he is someone who can be a main event Superstar in the next couple of years.

Bloom appeared on the April 10th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He lost to Sheamus but Vince McMahon got to see Bloom in the ring for the first time and remarked that there is potential to do a lot more with him at some point.

“Everyone is comparing him to a young Edge,” said one WWE source. “He is rough around the edges but he has something and Vince thinks he can be a big deal but it will take some time.”

The same source noted that Vince feels that Cal has the size and look and moves around well in the ring, despite his lack of experience. The coaches at the Performance Center have also had good things to say about him.

Cal Bloom is the son of former WWE Superstar Wayne Bloom (Beau Beverly) from the Beverly Brothers tag team. Cal played football at the University of Central Florida as a tight end for the UCF Knights. He was signed to a WWE developmental contract in March of 2019.
