Seth Rollins Addresses His WWE Contract Status

Reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has provided some insight into his future as an in-ring performer, revealing that he has a couple of years remaining on his current WWE contract. During a recent appearance on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco, Rollins, who has been a top WWE star for over a decade, discussed the possibility of stepping away from a full-time wrestling schedule to spend more time with his family.

“I don’t know if I want to do it into my 50s. I have a couple of years left on my contract in WWE. My daughter is four-and-a-half, almost five. I wouldn’t mind spending some extra time with her in a few years,” Rollins said. He confirmed he plans to stay involved in the industry in some capacity for as long as possible. “We’ll see what happens. I love this business; I’ve given my entire life to it, it’s given me a great life. I met my wife through this business, I have my daughter because I met my wife through this business. I’m able to provide jobs at my wrestling school down in Iowa for other people. I’ve built a mini-empire out of this industry. I imagine in some capacity I will stay involved one way or another for as long as I can”.

While he may be contemplating his long-term future, Rollins remains at the top of his game in WWE as the current World Heavyweight Champion. He has a match at the inaugural WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event this Saturday, September 20. In a battle of married couples, Rollins is set to team with his wife, Becky Lynch, to take on CM Punk and AJ Lee.

Since debuting on the main roster in 2012 as a member of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns and Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins has held several titles. He is a multi-time world champion, having held the WWE Championship twice and the Universal Championship twice. In addition to his world title reigns, Rollins has also won the Money in the Bank ladder match, the Royal Rumble, and headlined WrestleMania.
