While doing a recent interview, Seth Rollins gave some more insight into the absence of WWE Raw star Austin Theory.
Theory has not appeared on WWE television since the June 22nd episode of Raw when he was with Rollins and Murphy. No explanation has been given for his absence from WWE or Theory himself.
Earlier this month, Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that Theory isn’t injury, but rather the reason for him not appearing on TV is due to him serving an unannounced suspension. There were no more details available.
Speaking to Sporting News, Rollins was asked about Theory’s status and noted that Theory took time off due to personal issues.
“He had some personal issues that came up so he took some time off to sort through them for the past month or two. It’s hard right now but we hope everything’s good for him so we hope to have him back sooner than later.”
Rollins will battle Dominik Mysterio this Sunday at SummerSlam in a street fight.
