Seth Rollins fulfilled his goal at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday night when he beat Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Title.
In the lead up to this contest, which happened to take place as the opening match on the main card of the pay-per-view event that aired on WWE’s streaming service, Rollins made several interesting comments about “The Beast.”
Now, that the match is over and he’s the champion, Rollins can move forward with his plans for his reign. He elaborated on those plans and how they will be different from Lesnar’s during a recent interview with Cathy Kelley.
“My plan is to do what I said I was going to do when I told the world that I was going to beat Brock Lesnar and that’s to go out every single week and be the champion that the WWE Universe deserves. And if that means defending the title every week, if that means defending it on every live event, every pay-per-view, it doesn’t matter. I’m going to be there. All challengers are welcome.” Rollins added. “I’m gonna be a fighting champion. I’m gonna be a champion that people deserve.”
