While doing a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Seth Rollins made some headlines when talking about WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
The two stars are slated to share the squared circle for the title at WrestleMania 35. In this interview, Rollins talked about how in his mind Lesnar isn’t an industry builder but rather a killer due to his part-time status.
While doing a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Rollins explained his stance on Lesnar and the reason for his comments.
“I call him that because he is. He’s not in it for anybody but himself. Brock Lesnar. he will tell you to your face that he’s in this industry, he’s in any industry, for himself, to make his own money, and that’s not what I’m about. I’m about giving back to a business I love, that’s given me so much. So, it’s very self-explanatory. He kills industries because he doesn’t care about anybody but himself.”
Rollins would go onto say that Lesnar doesn’t give anything back to the company but did note that Lesnar is a box office attraction.
“He doesn’t contribute to the locker room, he doesn’t give anything back. I admire Brock Lesnar from a fighter’s perspective, from an athlete’s perspective. He’s incredible but he doesn’t inspire people, man, and we need a champion that does that.”
