As if it was ever a question, Seth Rollins is staying with WWE. This comes after WWE signed Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre in recent weeks. Damian Priest also signed a new contract. WWE is expected to re-sign Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, as well.
Rollins took time off from WWE following WrestleMania 40 where Rollins lost alongside Cody Rhodes to The Rock and Roman Reigns in a tag team match, only to lose to Drew McIntyre in their World Heavyweight Title match the following night. The second night opened with Lynch losing to Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.
Rollins worked the event with a torn meniscus and had surgery to fix it shortly after Mania. He has taken time off from WWE to recover. Rollins was diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL tear and a partially torn meniscus in his left knee this past January.
Fightful Select reports it’s a multi-year deal for big money. The report noted that one source close to WWE and Rollins said, “They’re not going to let him go.”
It was believed a deal would get done in the end, as one higher-up said they wished the deal had been done sooner. The deal will ensure that Rollins will be with the company until his 40s.
