Seth Rollins Says He Mended Fences With Matt Riddle After Past Beef

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins joined Logan Paul on his podcast, Imapulsive, for a new interview where he discussed a wide range of topics.

During it, Rollins spoke about making amends with Matt Riddle over their past beef, something WWE brought into their feud last year. Their issue started when Riddle’s then-wife called out the women on the WWE main roster over being “straight skinny jiggly fat” and told them to squat. She used a picture of Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, who is also the mother of his child, as a reference.

During a Friday Night SmackDown Watch Along special that aired during night one of the Draft, he noted that he had no interest in wrestling Riddle. Riddle gave his side of the situation and noted they were on good enough terms to work together.

“What about him? Well, his wife did [leave him]. I don’t think there’s such a thing as too far. You remember it, and we’re talking about months later, so that’s what I’m talking about the moments, man. That’s it. We had a bit of real-life beef if you will. I had a bit of an issue with him. So you kind of got to see that play out on live television a little bit, so we worked it to our favor because now we have a moment that’s viral and something you remember that affected you, so, win win win I would say. Fine, totally good. I’m a professional. We can work together, things that happened outside of here, that is what it is. He apologized, and we mended fences, and I’m all about, like, I don’t write anybody off, I’m not one of those guys that’s like ‘no second chances, you do wrong by me, I hate you forever,’ like I’m not that stubborn, it’s not that serious unless you do some real nasty things. Everybody makes mistakes, and I’m big on forgiveness and second chances. I’ll forgive, not always forget and move forward. He was a big man, came forward and apologized, and we’re able to work together, and I’m happy for that.”

Also in the interview, Rollins shared his take that Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest of all time and could be on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling.

“He is just unreal. He’s one of one. I mean, that guy, I think he turns 50 soon. And like, what are we talking about? Watch him in the ring. It’s unbelievable. He hasn’t aged a day. He’s a freak and up there, it might be a hot take. He might be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. There’s all these, ‘but this, but that.’ He’s not like a great promo, he’s not like a Rock an Austin, a Hogan. Like he’s not on that [level].’ But he is, if you look at the totality of his career and the influence that he’s had for over generations, I say one of the greatest. You could arguably include him on a Mount Rushmore if you want to go that far.”
