In an extensive interview with Cathy Kelley for WWE.com, Seth Rollins talked about his upcoming match with Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. He also talked about other subjects, including the impending departure of Dean Ambrose. His contract expires at the end of this month but he may be already done with the company because he did a final bow to the crowd after Raw on Monday night. Click here to see the video.
“It breaks my heart,” Rollins said about Ambrose’s departure. “I get it. I understand this place can be frustrating. He’s a guy who’s been doing it nonstop for 15, 16, 17 years. Sometimes you just need to step away and take care of yourself. I wish him luck in whatever he wants to do.”
Rollins said Ambrose marches to the beat of his own drum. He added, “I know how he feels about his creativity. Sometimes when it pulls him in a different direction, that’s just how he’s gotta be. I never imagined the three of us working anywhere else or not being here at the same time.”
Rollins said it’s gonna be weird not to see Ambrose in the locker room and knowing that he won’t be back anytime soon.
Here is a snippet from the interview where he talks about Dean Ambrose’s decision to leave WWE:
