Seth Rollins expects to be out of action for several months due to his shoulder injury. Rollins, who suffered the injury at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth on October 11, was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins has already undergone surgery to repair the issue. He appeared on the Halloween edition of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football with his arm in a sling. While giving a comedic rant, he said he will be out of action for six months.
“I wish I could rip this thing off,” Rollins said about the sling. “But I’m out, guy. I’m out of action for six months. My World Championship is going to be worn by some schmuck, either Jey Uso or CM Punk. It’s awful. It really is the Halloween scaries, guys.”
Jey Uso and CM Punk are facing off at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion. It was originally supposed to be Punk challenging Rollins for the title before Rollins’ injury forced a change in plans. To earn his spot in the vacant title match, Uso won a battle royal on the October 20 episode of Raw.
When Rollins returns, he will have unfinished business. WWE wrote Rollins off television in an angle where his former faction members, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, betrayed and attacked him.
Rollins is a regular guest host on Good Morning Football. A huge Chicago Bears fan, he appeared on the October 31 show wearing a bear costume and a Steve “Mongo” McMichael jersey.
