The hype for SummerSlam is in full swing and the card will start to fill out in the coming weeks. However, WWE has not laid their plans out for Dolph Ziggler and the Intercontinental Championship. If Seth Rollins gets his way then he will get another shot at the title.
Rollins is the latest guest on “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia.” He talked about the Intercontinental Title and what has been done to make it prestigious again. He also expressed interest in wrestling Dolph Ziggler again.
He said, “I’d love to be Universal Champion but I’d also love to get another shot at the Intercontinental title. What we’ve done with the Intercontinental Championship over the last 6-8 months has been pretty incredible. Give The Miz a little credit for that too.”
Rollins also pointed out that the IC title hasn’t main evented a pay-per-view since SummerSlam 92 and they were able to do that at Extreme Rules. “The Intercontinental Championship kinda means a lot to me right now. I’d love to take another crack at it with Dolph, we’ll see what happens. SummerSlam is coming up and he doesn’t have an opponent yet. I lost my shot at the Universal Title. I’d be down to give Dolph another run for his money, that’s for sure.”
