WWE Superstar Seth Rollins broke his little finger on Sunday during a street fight match with Erick Rowan at the house show in Augusta, Georgia.
Dave Meltzer reports that Rollins was originally scheduled to wrestle on Monday Night Raw against Cedric Alexander but those plans were scrapped because of the injury. There was also talk of Rollins vs. Kevin Owens at Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view but the company has not officially announced the match. Owens was taken away in an ambulance due to a storyline injury after he was attacked by Rollins and AOP. It’s possible that WWE has decided to hold off on that match until next month’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
During his promo on Raw this week, you could see Rollins’ small finger taped up. Meltzer noted that the Alexander match was supposed to be a step in the heel turn for Rollins.
It doesn’t look like Rollins will miss any time out of the ring because WWE officials told Meltzer that he has been cleared to perform with the injury going forward.
