As part of WrestleMania 40 weekend, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins took part in a panel discussion today at WWE World with Cathy Kelly.
Seth Rollins on wrestling at WrestleMania XL on both nights:
“I’ve been through a lot the past few months, it’s true, but I’m feeling really good. I’m 100% clear to compete, and after Monday, I already had a chip on my shoulder going into this WrestleMania, but now I feel like that chip has doubled in size. I’m sorry if you got children out there, but Monday night, it pissed me off. If there’s one thing you don’t want is to give Seth Rollins extra motivation heading into the biggest match of my life. I don’t know if you guys are familiar with my track record at WrestleMania, but it’s pretty darn good. When the lights are the brightest, and baby tomorrow night they’re going to be as bright as they have ever been, I’m going to shine like a diamond. I promise you. That extra motivation, that big chip on my shoulder, that’s going to come back to bite The Rock in the ass, and then on Sunday, Drew McIntyre doesn’t stand a chance. He doesn’t stand a chance against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and my fans.”
On The Rock saying he made wrestling cool again:
“Rock comes back in here and he’s trying to take credit for making wrestling cool again. Come on. WrestleMania was selling out without The Rock. I told The Rock this in the beginning. We don’t need you. We’re glad to have you. We don’t need you. You come in here, we’ll kick your ass and send you back to Hollywood. Wrestling was not cool because The Rock comes out here and says a few swear words and gets on his Instagram and does all that nonsense. Wrestling is cool because everybody in this room has made it cool again. What was I supposed to do? I couldn’t just let The Rock come back in here and take credit for everything rebuilt. I couldn’t let him join The Bloodline, be a member of the board on TKO and just run this place as he sees fit. We’ve been doing something great between me, between Cody, between everybody here and we need to keep that grind going. So I had to put a lot on my plate. I had to. Somebody had to step up and who better than me?”
