On November 4th, WWE released several main roster and NXT stars from their contracts, which the company cited due to budget cuts.
Those stars included Karrion Kross, Nia Jax, Keith Lee, Mia Yim, Ember Moon, Davey Boy Smith Jr, Oney Lorcan, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Eva Marie, Franky Monet, B-Fab, Scarlett Bordeaux, Trey Baxter, Jessi Kamea, Jeet Rama, Zayda Ramier and Katrina Cortez.
NXT wrestlers only had 30-day non-compete clauses, which expired in December. This would include Lorcan, Monet, Baxter, Kamea, Rama, Ramier, and Cortez.
However, the rest of the names mentioned above had main roster deals, which meant they couldn’t sign anywhere for 90-days and that ended today. Now, they can sign with any promotions they want such as AEW, Impact Wrestling, NJPW, NWA, and MLW.
For names such as Kross, Lee, Yim, Moon, Lorcan, and Scarlette, they’re expected to be the big name signings, although it’s unknown which promotions will pick them up.
