Several Interesting Names Are Backstage At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event For John Cena’s Last Match

WWE presents Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The event features the final match of John Cena’s career. Several former WWE champions and current talents not advertised for the card are in the city for the broadcast.

Legends and Backstage Sightings

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is in Washington, D.C. Van Dam, who defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand in 2006, appeared during a Cena tribute segment on the Countdown to Saturday Night’s Main Event show on WWE’s YouTube channel.

Kurt Angle and Mark Henry also appeared during the YouTube countdown show. Angle was Cena’s first opponent on WWE television in 2002, and Henry had a notable feud with Cena in 2013.

PWInsider reported that TNA’s Elijah (fka Elias in WWE) and Joe Hendry were on a flight from Florida to Washington, D.C. yesterday. Additionally, the outlet reported that Drew McIntyre was spotted backstage earlier today. McIntyre is currently suspended in WWE storylines.
