Shane McMahon gets a new position outside of WWE

While away from WWE TV, Shane McMahon is still a key member of a company outside of the pro wrestling business, Ideanomics.

The son of Vince McMahon has been with the company, which has changed names numerous times, since 2010. He had previously served as Vice Chairman & CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board.

It was announced by the company today that McMahon is the new executive chairman for Ideanomics. Jim Cassano, a 13-year Board member, will be elevated to Vice Chairman.

Ideanomics describes itself as “a global company focused on facilitating the adoption of commercial electric vehicles and developing next-generation financial services and Fintech products.”

Ideanomics shareholders filed a lawsuit against the company and McMahon last August.

Earlier this year, McMahon was involved in a program with Braun Strowman that resulted in them working a steel cage match at WrestleMania 37 with “The Monster Among Men” being declared the winner. McMahon hasn’t been used since then and Strowman was released due to budget cuts.
