WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently appeared on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Texas to promote his new movie, "The Resurrection of Gavin Stone." During the interview, he was asked about a possible match with WWE Champion AJ Styles at next month's Royal Rumble pay-per-view in San Antonio. He said that he would be thrilled at the pop he would get from the hometown fans in San Antonio. He added, "No one has even contacted me about that show. I don't know if anyone cares that I'm from there," Michaels said. I should note that we heard a couple of weeks ago that they had reached out to him so that conflicts with what we were told.
He believes that the WWE has happily moved on from him. He noted that he met Styles once and thinks that he is a phenomenal young man. He said that he is honored that this name pops up nearly every week about him possible wrestling a talent. He takes it as a compliment and is thankful for that. Michaels made it clear that he is very comfortable with his life and being retired from pro wrestling.
