Shawn Michaels explains why he has no desire to wrestle again

WWE Hall of Famer and Performance Center trainer Shawn Michaels teamed up with Triple H to beat The Undertaker and Kane in a tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2, 2018, at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This match ended up being the main event of this show.

This match also marked the first time that Michaels had wrestled a match since losing a retirement match to Taker at WrestleMania 26 in 2010.

Michaels talked with Sky Sports while in attendance on Friday for the launch of the new Performance Center in the United Kingdom that was unveiled alongside Triple H, Robbie Brookside, Matt Bloom, Finn Balor, Charlotte Flair, and the NXT UK roster. This was when he stated that he no longer wants to wrestle.

“They forced me,” Michaels said. “No, it was a really special thing, and I really felt that one for a while. I’m good with what I’ve done.” He continued, “I no longer want to do it any more.”

Michaels continued by stating, “The only thing better than having your own WrestleMania moment is watching and helping someone with theirs,” he said. “We had our time, we know the potential of so many of these men and women and we know the joy they can have and we want to pass it on.”
