Earlier today, we wrote about the story about Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement. According to what was reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the word in WWE is that Michaels will wrestle at the show taking place on 11/2 in Saudi Arabia. If he goes through with it then it would not be a singles match.
Dave Meltzer elaborated a bit on this morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio when they were talking about Chris Jericho.
“By the way, the Shawn Michaels thing, if he does wrestle, it is Saudi Arabia if he does. That’s the big money show,” Meltzer said on today’s WOR.
Again, as has been written about here on WrestlingNews.co, Michaels has cracked the door open on a possible return to the ring but he said that if he went through with it then it would likely be in a tag team match with his friends because he doesn’t feel like he could live up to fan expectations in a match against someone like AJ Styles.
Well, his friends in real life are Triple H and The Undertaker. I guess we’ll have to wait to see who else would figure into the match for 11/2. It sure looks like the Super Show-Down event in Australia is what will set up Triple H and HBK against The Undertaker and a partner in Saudi Arabia.
