There was a moment in an NBA playoff game on Monday night between the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors that went viral on social media.
In the clip, Pascal Siakam accidentally kicked Daniel Theis in the face. Although it wasn’t a hard kick, he did make contact and Theis sold it pretty well.
As the clip started to make the rounds, plenty of fans started connecting it pro wrestling and the move made famous by Shawn Michaels as he iconically called his finisher, Sweet Chin Music.
The WWE Hall of Famer saw the clip on Tuesday morning and commented on it in this message on Twitter:
“Well, while I APPRECIATE you’ve been watching my old @WWE tapes, you may run into issues hitting sweet chin music on an @nba basketball court!! @Raptors.”

After being in retirement for 8 years, the former WWE Champion returned to action for a one-off. Kane and The Undertaker lost to Triple H and Michaels in a tag team match at the WWE Crown Jewel special in 2018.
In the last few years, Michaels has gained a bigger role in NXT as he’s an agent and part of the creative team in NXT. He also helps oversee the NXT UK brand.
