Shawn Michaels says that there were never plans for a match with Daniel Bryan

Part 2 of The Jim Ross podcast is up now. Shawn talked about Hall of Fame weekend, Warrior, and tons more.

Shawn talked about appearing at the Hall of Fame and seeing Scott Hall. He said that Scott had a smile that lit up the room.  He said that it wasn’t a pretend smile and he had a twinkle in his eye.

Shawn said that he only briefly had a friendship with Ultimate Warrior in the early 90s and he said that Warrior was always good to him and Marty Jannetty. He said that he trained with Warrior. Shawn said that he got to see him briefly before Warrior went out for his speech and they both talked about each others families. Shawn said that he congratulated Warrior on his induction and on being a dad.

Shawn talked about training Daniel Bryan. He told Bryan that the biggest issue he will have is his size but Shawn knew there was something special about him and he told him that talent rises to the top. Shawn said that there was never a match planned with Daniel Bryan last year when he did the angle with him late last year. He said that it was never discussed. Shawn said that after he superkicked Daniel Bryan he was supposed to go home but Shawn asked if he could stay and put Bryan over the next night on Raw.

Shawn revealed that that a match with The Rock was brought up when Shawn came back to the company but Rock wasn’t interested. You can listen to the latest podcast below.
