Sheamus has provided a detailed update on the shoulder injury that has kept him out of action since November, revealing he underwent surgery on December 30 and is eager to return.
Speaking on OTB Football, the Celtic Warrior explained that the issue first arose months before it ultimately forced him out of action, tracing it back to a match in Paris earlier last year.
“Yeah, this one has been difficult. It kind of came out of nowhere. I started noticing my shoulder around May-June at Clash in Paris against Rusev. It was bothering me and I thought I tore it. I got a couple of shots in there and it felt good for a little while, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me. I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing. I’m dying to get back in the ring and back to work. I have cabin fever,” Sheamus said.
Sheamus last competed on the November 17 episode of Raw, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day in what turned out to be his final match before the surgery. He has kept himself busy during the recovery period, including announcing a draft pick for the Tennessee Titans during the 2026 NFL Draft.
No timetable for his in-ring return has been provided. We wish him a speedy recovery.
