Current WWE United States Champion Sheamus has hit a new WWE milestone.
He won the United States Title from Matt Riddle at WrestleMania 37 in April then broke his nose. Sheamus suffering his nose injury prevented him from defending the title for several weeks, but he has since returned to in-ring action.
Fans may have missed it, but WWE noted on Twitter and Monday’s Raw that Sheamus has now been the United States Champion for 100 days now.
On this week’s episode of Raw, Sheamus took on Damian Priest in a contender’s match which meant if Priest won the match, he would get a shot at Sheamus’ title in the future. Priest ended up going over.
As it stands right now, there’s no word yet exactly when the match will take place. WWE will either book the match at SummerSlam or save it for an episode of Raw.
