The rivalry ended in a Falls Count Anywhere match a few weeks ago on an episode of SmackDown. These two stars put on a stiff match with them walking away with various bruises.
While doing an interview with Sports Illustrated, the former WWE Champion made it known that he thinks Big E is someone who should be a world champion.
“The world saw a different side of Big E [during that match], a guy that should be world champion. I hit him as hard as I could, and he hit me back even harder. That’s a credit to him. He brought it, and I still have the marks on my back to prove it.”
Sheamus continued by noting that his intention of working with Big E was to show fans how tough Big E could be and show a side of him that no one had ever seen.
Sheamus added that while everyone knows Big E can make people laugh, they now know when it comes to a fight, he can also hold his own against anybody.
The longtime WWE star also talked about wanting to wrestle WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and more. Check out the full interview here.
