Sheamus undergoes nose surgery again
Sheamus had to undergo the knife for a second time this year.
Back in June, Sheamus worked back-to-back matches on Monday Night Raw against Ricochet and Humberto Carrillo. During his match with Carrillo, he took a stiff strike to the nose and was busted open as a result.
He suffered a broken nose in the match and had to do a repair procedure to fix his broken nose. Since that time, he has been wearing a mask to further protect his nose while it recovers.
Sheamus worked a triple threat match against current United States Champion Damian Priest and Jeff Hardy at the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena. During the match, Sheamus took a hard strike that forced his mask to fly off. It’s likely that is when he reinjured the nose.
It should be noted that he did work a No DQ Match with Priest for the title the following night on Raw. Sheamus shared on Twitter that he underwent surgery to fix the injury:
