We noted over the weekend that Shelton Benjamin is still several months from being cleared after getting rotator cuff surgery but there’s already been an idea pitched for him for when he is ready to return to WWE.
The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that the idea is for Benjamin, Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler to form a Varsity Club/shooter stable on the Smackdown Live brand. That’s not a bad idea at all and it’s a good way to get Swagger back in the mix. It might not be a bad idea to include Kurt Angle as part of that stable with him as a manager that wrestles occasionally.
