Former WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura has had a long and successful career in the pro wrestling business.
From making a name for himself under the New Japan Pro Wrestling banner to signing with WWE and showing off his talents in America with WWE.
Nakamura spoke with StraitTimes.com to promote WWE’s event that takes place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 27 where he’ll be getting back into the hunt for a top title under the WWE banner. He’ll be challenging WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins at this upcoming show.
During the interview, he commented on when he wants to retire from wrestling. Here is what he had to say:
“I want to wrestle at least five more years. I’m 39 now. (Former MLB) baseball player Ichiro Suzuki retired at 45 and he was such an influence for Japanese sportsmen, especially those who lived in other countries. And so I need to wrestle until I’m 45 years old.”
