There was a line used last week on WWE Raw that was not supposed to make it into the show.
When SmackDown Tag Team Champions Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro were making their way into the ring for their match against The Street Profits, a pre-taped inset promo was shown on the screen.
The short inset, which was taped several hours earlier, ended with Nakamura saying, "If they want smoke, they will get cancer."
Immediately after, they went back live for the start of the match and Michael Cole repeated an altered version of the line that was meant to air: "Cesaro and Shin saying if they want smoke, they're gonna get some here tonight."
We were told that the cancer line was not supposed to make it onto the show but with so much happening behind the scenes someone simply forgot to use a different version of Nakamura's promo.
This is not a huge deal but it just shows how chaotic things can get backstage when so many changes are made to the script. Oftentimes, something that is written in the afternoon gets changed when the show is about to go on the air and this time a line that was not meant to air did not pass the usual filters.
