Shotzi Blackheart explains why she used a staple gun on herself during recent promo

Shotzi Blackheart had one of the biggest matches in WWE thus far on last week’s episode of NXT when she took on WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai in a non-title match.

Hours before the show aired on the USA Network, Blackheart released an interesting promo on Twitter that featured her using a staple gun to attach a “HURT ME” label to her chest.

Although she lost to Shirai on the show, not only did the promo get people talking, her performance in the match was also a good outing.

She was asked why she used the staple gun in the promo while doing an interview with Comic Book.

“It was kind of something that I just thought of doing that day, and then I filmed it that night and put it up like five minutes after I filmed it,” Blackheart said. “I just wanted to prove a point, just to Io, that she doesn’t want to hurt me, but I’m okay if she does. I’m a big girl. I can handle it.”

Blackheart also talked about her look, being different, exchange with Lacey Evans, and more. Check out the full interview here.
