Shotzi Names AEW As Top Choice After WWE Release: “I Love Their Freedom”

Recently released superstar Shotzi says she is most interested in signing with AEW. She cites the company’s creative freedom and the way it treats its talent.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Shotzi discussed her post-WWE future after her contract was not renewed in May. She revealed that her confidence had taken a hit after being released shortly after returning from a major ACL injury.

“When you’re going through such a huge injury like that… you hope that, ‘Well, if I work really hard and come back even better, maybe I’ll get rewarded,'” she said. “But unfortunately for me, I was let go.”

While she would love to return to WWE if she were consistently used, she named AEW her primary goal.

“I love their freedom. I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things,” Shotzi explained. “I’ve heard many stories of how Tony treats talent. So yeah, I do love that he really cares for his talent. That is super important to me.”
