Sid Vicious cancelled indy wrestling appearance after discovering owner is pro-Trump

In recent years, politics has sunk its way into professional sports. Now it seems to slowly be creeping its way into professional wrestling. It was recently announced that former WWE Champion Sid Vicious pulled out of a scheduled appearance for the Xcite Wrestling indy wrestling promotion.

Apparently, Vicious decided not to get on his plane for the appearance after discovering that the promotion’s owner, Jonny Moose, was a supporter of current United States President Donald Trump. Trump, a WWE Hall Of Famer in the celebrity wing, is a highly controversial political figure in the world at the moment.

After Vicious’ decision to not appear for Xcite Wrestling, the decision was made to have a wrestler dressed like Vicious come out and powerbomb another wrestler. You can check that out in the video player below:

Wait what just happened…….. #maga?
