Sid Vicious To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame 2026 Class

WWE has announced that Sid Vicious will be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Legacy Class, with Triple H making the announcement on social media. The induction comes posthumously, as Sid Eudy passed away from cancer on August 26, 2024, at the age of 63.

“No matter which moniker you knew him by, Sid’s intensity was palpable across the ring and through your TV screen,” Triple H wrote. “A multi-time champion in WWE and WCW, and a two-time WrestleMania main event, it’s a pleasure to announce that he will take his rightful place in the 2026 Legacy Class of the WWE Hall of Fame.”

He competed under numerous ring names throughout his career including Sid Justice, Sid Vicious, and Sycho Sid. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1982 and first gained significant attention in WCW, where he was part of The Skyscrapers tag team alongside Dan Spivey before joining the legendary Four Horsemen stable alongside Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Barry Windham. He jumped to WWE in 1991 under the name Sid Justice and headlined WrestleMania VIII against Hulk Hogan in April 1992.

Following a return to WWE in 1995 as Sycho Sid, he captured the WWF Championship in 1996 by defeating Shawn Michaels in a moment that saw him wildly cheered by the crowd despite being positioned as a heel. He won the title a second time from Bret Hart in 1997 before headlining WrestleMania 13 against The Undertaker. His WCW career was equally decorated, capturing the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice in 2000 by defeating Kevin Nash.

Sid’s in-ring career was brought to a sudden end during the main event of the 2001 WCW Sin pay-per-view when he suffered a double compound fracture of his left leg after jumping from the ropes, one of the most shocking injury moments in wrestling history. He made a brief WWE return in 2012 during the Raw 1000 special before retiring permanently in 2017.

Eudy joins Demolition, AJ Styles, Stephanie McMahon, Dennis Rodman, and Sycho Sid in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026. The induction ceremony takes place during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 18 and 19.
