WWE has granted Sin Cara his release from the company.
Sin Cara, real name Jorge Arias, announced on Twitter his exit from the company. He wrote, “As of today I have been granted my release from WWE. Thank you WWE Universe it has been an amazing adventure.”
He was on a three-year deal that he signed a few months ago but he had recently expressed unhappiness with his spot in the company.
WWE issued the following statement on their website: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Sin Cara. WWE wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Sin Cara has expressed interest in MMA fighting and he is close friends with Alberto El Patron so that is now a possibility for him. In fact, he was at Alberto’s fight on Saturday night for Combate Americas.
There is typically 90-day non-compete when wrestlers are released early from their contracts so I would assume that you won’t see him pop up at any wrestling shows until March 2020, at the earliest.
